What are you doing with your old badges? I'm looking to get a tailgate emblem for an idea I have.

snyder, I have a eraser wheel in transit...not sure exactly where it is right now...I wouldnt do the spears without it, I think AF has it and you can ask him to send it to you next

well i live in grande priaire ab btw ..well the tailgate badge got broke in 2 so i was bored wife at work(no kids) i took the dremmel out and started to grind away all the excess slag left from it breaking and had some primer and matching paint fo my truck (brillant met black) heres some pics i might just use it on tailgate when i get my smoked led taillights

yea i need to get 1 tomorrow or i might just call a couple autobody shops and ask them if they can use there wheels for a couple bucks..and everything here is so overpriced

Well my truck is white, so it would have to fade a lot to be really noticeable... but I didnt take mine off until last summer, and even close up I cant see any difference, so I doubt you would notice any. I've taken badges off of even older vehicles that were red and blue and other colors and didnt have a noticeable fade on them. I think general rule is whether its in a sunny place and outdoors all day and has been that way for years and years. Like 15 years...

And on the Spears i dont know if they used different adhesive but my spears had double sided tape and it took me only 30 minutes to get it all off.

mine had the 3m tape and it took me over 30 min WITH an eraser wheel to get off, I dont think I coulda done it without it. You have half the doors, but still alotta tape to peel off with your hands
