Default Mud Grapplers, Rockstars, Leveling Kit

Here's my question you all have heard before. I have a 05 Ram 1500 Qc 4x4 and have a ready lift leveling kit thats not on yet. Will I be able to fit 35x12.5 mud grapplers on with my leveling kit without rub. I'm also taking off stock 20s and getting 18 inch rockstars. The rims have a backspacing of 5 I believe. So will that rim and tire combo fit with just a leveling kit?

Thanks I'm putting the 35x12.5 grapplers on then. I can deal with some rub if it's nothing major. Anyone have a opinion on down sizing to a 18 inch rim?

You should look into getting 1/4" wheel spacers on the front. From what everyone is saying this stops the rubbing issue. I guess that is if you are running 35x12.5R20 (stock rims). Not sure if it would help with the 18" XD wheels. Do your research!

you are going to hate that tire . hope you have deep pockets cause they dont last more than 20 k tops . I know had them , worst over priced tires yet . unless you drive in mud 100% of the time .

^^lolz i love my mud graps, but with that being said i only log about 300 miles a month. but in all honesty you should not disgrace such an awesome tire with such a overused rim. there has to be more choices out there. the tires are not overpriced, they are better than any other tire ive had in the mud. there is a member on this site that got 60k out of his. dodgenitto is his name. rotate, dont drive crazy on the pavement, and keep um up to psi and youll be fine. are they loud, yes, do they look badass yes, do they do what theyre made to do yes. choice is yours dude, whats your priority?

If you do want a tire that is still very aggressive and very capable but more street friendly, the toyo mt or the nitto trail grappler is a great choice. Proven great wear on the toyo mt, and the nitto trail grappler is reputably good, but still relatively new with not a lot of proven action yet. If you want to be safe, go with the well known toyo mt, if you want to take a chance and get something new, go with the trail grappler. The mud grappler is a sweet looking tire though.

I love the hell outa those mudd grapps...I wanted them but got the trail grapplers, I like these tires alot, great performance in all weather. Next I want to look into some Toyo mt's, those look so damn sick.

Thanks again for all the input. Still looking at the graps but the Toyo mt that cherryram suggested is looking good also. I am planning on alot of street use with the tire I buy but I am also in the mud almost as much. Everyone says how over used rockstars are now days. Would you guys just stick to the stock 20's or does anyone have another rim that looks good.
