If I had been running a factory intake, it would have been just fine...while I was sitting there pulling the plugs...a stock DURANGO went through it...my buddy's f150 came through it...the water wasn't that deep, maybe 12in, but it splashed up the front of the truck and the vararam sucked it all up....earlier I had cut slits in the intake tubes for drainage, it drained for a while. I went a picked up a cherry picker to pull the motor out...just gotta figure out if its gonna be cheaper to rebuild or buy a new motor....just sucks cause Im in Fairbanks, AK.
If you're going to rebuild, it's a no brainer to do a stroker.
Dang hate it for you man! But have you seen how our trucks go thru water? There like a dang plow especially at speed. Well I went thru some water in my sc 4.7 and had it up over the bug deflector, just for a breif moment though. Well I hope all works out and go the stroker route. More Power!!
^^ you're an idiot. This has nothing to do with vararam. Quite frankly, the sole responsibility lies with the driver. You can't put an intake in your bumper and then drive through water.

Dude, I've been called an idiot, but I know how to make dumb joke every now and then. Have fun and live a little.
To slow it down for some... Their product sucks in air... totally tongue in cheek. I would probably put one in mine if I hadn't read this deal, because Lubbock, TX has a problem with flooding roads when it rains.
I was actually going to ask him if he didn't have it up for sale soon, but he also has a 4.7L, so don't think asking would do me any good.
