You can try getting a tilt sensor module for your current alarm brand if available.

Maybe add a one way monitor (i.e baby monitor) and keep the monitor in the vehicle and keep the other by your side so you can at least hear what is happening inside and near your vehicle.

haha well i got my .380 alarm system in place right now but that sure did a whole lot for me when my real alarm didnt go off. i looked at best buy and its gonna cost me between 250 and 350 to get it installed and running. do you guys like your vipers? are they a good quality product?

HAHAHA. If an alarm is what you want then I would probably go with either a Viper or a Compustar. Both you can get a lot of different sensors for and it sounds like you may be most interested in a tilt sensor.

The DEI line is considered a quality product but it really comes down to install, for any product. 10% product 90% install.

This. The previous owner had a top of the line compustar in this truck. The install was a pure abortion and it was a very temperamental unit. I had no confidence in its security system. I put a new astro start with immobilizer in and it works flawlessly. Me and a buddy installed it in an afternoon and tucked all the wires making it look very OEM appearing.
