Default Viper Alarm Questions?

ok its gonna be a rant first...

my truck got towed out from under my nose last night. i live in a gated community and the stupid rent-a-cops have the stones to tow my truck because it was parked in the street and not in the driveway, which is full of cars. now i get the fact that tow trucks work quick but my window is literally 5 feet from where my truck was parked, locked, and had the parking break and steering wheel locked. these guys must have been NINJAS! they dolly towed my truck like a half hour away so i hope they didnt F*** anything up. but now to what im asking.

HOW DID MY ALARM NOT GO OFF????? i make sure that every time i lock my car that the alarm is activated. and this alarm is sensitive. it goes off if something loud drives by. how can my alarm not go off if someone is jacking the a$$ end off the ground and putting the front wheels on dolly's?

that being said. which viper alarm system do you guys think is worth putting money on? i dont need remote start or all those iphone app crap. i want a good reliable alarm that will actually go off if someone is dicking with my truck. because if someone can literally take my truck without the alarm going off, whos to stop someone from busting the window and stealing the dammm thing?

I have a viper alarm, not sure what model but its a few years old now. Any ways there is a sensor you can add onto the kit if it doesn't come with it that will set the alarm off if someone raises the wheels off the ground. I'd look into that first.

I think the alarms are only good to alert the owner. I stayed at a hotel in Long Beach Ca. that a drop off yard close by and day and night I heard tow trucks go by with cars with teir alarms sounding. No one payed them any attention. So I guess, use a tow truck to steal a car and it's a free pass. Maybe better to have a gps locater.

Get the viper 5902! I bought it on ebay and bought every extra sensor that I could. Best buy installed it all for $300 and now, there's no way a bird can even **** on my truck without me knowing! =P You can adjust the sensativity of each sensor too if you don't want it that sensative. IT"S AWESOME!!!!!!!

You can also look at lowjack or look into the KARR alarms, they have a gps tracker and cell alerts I beleive
