Does anyone have Nos in there trucks?

Can it be used on a stock engine or would I need to do mods?

 

is it worth getting? only if you have supporting mods.
is it safe? yes, if installed right (go with a wet system)
how much can you run? some guys are doing as much as 150 shot.
which kit? most guys use zex wet kit
how much will it help? with supporting mods, expect about a full second off the 1/4
how much does it cost? about $500 for the kit, $40-50 each fill up (3 or 4 runs)

 

yes you can do it on a stock engine, but if you're gonna be runnin the rpms up high, i'd suggest changing your springs to the 6.1 springs. They are much stronger at wont break at higher rpms (above 6k)

If you have to ask if it will be safe, it's probably something you shouldn't do lol. Af_hemi is right though go with wet Zex 100-150s.

 

i disagree. Its a legit question to ask if its safe. There are a lot of engines that really dont like nos at all. Nos is known for blowing up engines if its not done right. The "is it safe" question doesnt really mean he doesnt have the technical know-how to install it correctly.

besides, I'm the one that asked the questions for him

 

I was talking o someone at the dealers servive department and he has it in his and said when or if I wanna ever do it let hime know and he would install it and then take me to the track for pratice with it. But I wanna make sure I don't blow my stock engine and if I need mods done i would sooner pay for them first.
