[quote=AF_HEMI;2148650]Ah i see, we're comparing apples and oranges. I was saying there is no performance difference over the T-pipe vs the regular aftermarket CAI (like K/N). You're absolutely right about the stock box. Anything will flow better than the stock "hemi hat" system.

Ok I get where you were coming from now. My point was just no matter (well almost) what you do it is still going to give you better performance than stock. An intake getting air from like the fog light hole may be better than the t-pipe because the air would be cooler but I still have to say the t-pipe looks bad ***.

The only concern I had about the wind on the top of the engine would be that it would allow rain in there, too, with which the incline into the air intake would not be a good combination.

Putting the intake to the stock location with a downward slope away from the throttle body decreases that risk immensley.

With the T-pipe, the rain would have to make two 90 degree turns to get to the throttle body. Trust me, you get just as much rain in there as you do with the normal one... essentially none.

Who has t-pipes, does anyone know what it would take versus a regular cai?

No one has those install ideas... besides slapping a rubber connector with a t-pipe... would that really be it?

p.s. I see the CAI that dip down into the wheel well, but not the split ones on Ebay, if anyone has seen one let me know... i'll keep looking.

would it not also be easier to make a t pipe your self?
just take off the stock pipe and toss in a pvc T splitter.
toss 2 filters on the end and drive away?
