Default Any advantage to going dual from 3" y-pipe???

Well,

After expelling all options I'm left with this.

Go from Pacesetter Headers with 3" collector to pacesetter 3" y-pipe.

I'm going to ditch the cats if it doesn't run too funny after I run without a while.

I'm going to get a cherry bomb glass pack, single, off of the y-pipe, clamp it on, then go to a dump after that.

Hopefully can find a 3" cherry bomb so I can just clamp it to it. like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/IMM-87553/?rtype=10

Question being, of course, is there any advantage to going back dual, or does it just add weight and restrict air flow, especially if there isn't a cat and it's all 3" pipe....

My thought is if you are going to just dump it, than no advantage. However if you are going to run pipes back to the rear bumper or out each side than duals will keep the flow rate up.

As long as you are not going true duals you'll be alright, the tone will change a bit from being dumped to adding longer pipes and splitting them but thats all to taste anyways.
