Default 06 1500 transmission problem

I need help. I have a 2006 1500 mega cab. The truck operates fine and event pulls a 6000 lb camper without problems. However, when I first crank the truck it takes about 10 seconds at idle or reving the motor for it to begin moving. It only does it when it hasn't ran in several hours. I don't think this is normal what is my remedy. The truck only has 47000 miles.

Thanks

Torque converter not locking up???? Possible bad internal seals and they expand after a slight warmup? Just throwing ideas out there.

real common thing. the torque converter drains the fluid out while sitting sometimes. and it takes a few seconds to get the juices flowing again. either that or an improperly seated filter. i wouldnt worry about it, just make sure you keep up on the maintenance.

Yeah I drive my truck now maybe twice a month ever since I have gotten a company truck. Mine does something similar when it is not cold or sometimes it will not move as fast as it does hot when I'm just idling around.
