Here is my story...need help also
So, about a month or so ago I got into an accident. Messed up my front passenger side, chrome bumper, light and fender messed up pretty good. With the impact it pushed everything over to the driver side, even the hood.
Took it to the shop and I thought they fixed it. I instantly looked at the part that was hit pretty good and noticed it was fixed, good take the truck home and everything is good right. Wrong.
Inspecting it more at the house I noticed that the fender was out of align with the truck. Meaning if you were to run your hand across the truck it should be a straight line no up and down right, straight. Wrong. Took it back to the shop and they got that fixed.
This past weekend my wife went driving in the truck while I was at work and noticed that the gap in the hood was pretty big, not normal.

Am I right?
That isn't a normal gap. So the dumbass guy at the shop when I took it back told me that there is nothing that can be done. They didn't touch the hood at all.
I said oh is that right, then how did you get the grill, which was messed up in the wreck on the hood without touching it.
You guys are going to like this, he then told me, this is how Dodge Trucks are made, their hoods.
I said are you bull****ting me right now.
So then this is an illusion then:

I contacted my insurance company and told them that I was getting the run around at this shop and that they are telling me that the hoods of Dodge Trucks are made like that.
Oh and my bumper as shown in the picture above is not like that either, the dumb *** told us that there is nothing holding the bumper so that is why now it has a gap in it.
I am so frustrated right now.
So I come to you guys, what would cause the hood to be gapped that much? Bad spring? The other side is the way it should, this side is not.
Sorry for the rant.

They either used China/ Mexican parts which suck or the adjuster on the hood are off. Open the hood and on the cross member above the radiators have two plastic screw things that touch the hood, just lower them by twisting.
they are not oem parts they tried to do the same thing with my 94 and the lines wouldn't match up and I went to my insurance and told them and they made them change everything to oem, you have to stick to your guns. and if they didn't change your hood then the old hood had probably been bowed from the accident.
