Installed my airlift bags today. Install was pretty easy overall. Pretty brainless -- instructions are awesome (which is a rarity these days). The hardest part is drilling through the frame to bolt it in. I ran my airlines through the frame so they'll never be damaged. They're encased all but about 12" between the transition of the frame to the hitch. I thought about doing a "T" fitting, so I only had one fill valve, but i want the ability to put different psi's in each one to help with load leveling.

 

They look nice man. How about some info about them......brand, price, etc.

Also, it always gets me when I see that PA plate on your truck.

 

Sweet. yeah, i just did the one valve cuz I'm lazy and think it's a bit of a pain to fill both valves up evenly, but if that's a problem for you then it's super easy to just unite them together. Only time will tell, but you'll love'em either way I promise.

 

They are AirRide bags. Got em for under $200 from 4wheelonline.com at the same time i got my wheels/tires.

I will never lose my PA plates. As my location says, residing in Nodakistan, but my heart will always be in the 'burgh.

 

Pretty sweet deal. I might have to look into them. Been thinking about getting a set for the rear of my truck.

 

WELL worth the money. These 1500's really do have a pretty soft spring, so it settles a lot when under load. Even 200 lbs will drop it an inch. With a 500lb tounge load trailer, your nose is skyward. These bags are AWESOME. Get them

 

After loading it down with mulch a couple weeks ago and seeing it sag it made me start thinking about getting some bags.

 

ORT, you'll never go back. get a pair if you use your bed for anything heavy even on just a semi-regular basis. I've loaded 1500lbs in my bed before and with just 40#'s of air, my truck sat perfectly level and handled fantastic. I'll never own another 1500 series truck without bags out back fo' sho'. haha

 

Nice. I think I may have to get bags for mine, but I haven't hooked up the RV yet to check it. My truck only had about 1" difference from front to rear before I put on the 2" leveling kit. So, I'm afraid it's going to sag when I drop that 14k lb 5th wheel on it.

EDIT: I sat the weight of the RV down on the truck today. No problems, doesn't sag and matter of fact it is barely touching the helper leafs. I'll get to check control when I pull it in a couple of weeks but I think it'll be fine.

 

Your truck shouldn't sag as much much man, hell, you got a 3500! But bags should help with the rideability as far as jumping, etc. You coming in August to the get together in Orlando????????
