Default went muddin, ripped this off replace it?

Ok the other night my buddy and i were and he was saying my tahoe this, my tahoe that and said his rig would out wheel mine , so we go to my favorite trail and well i really dont remember much cept for pullin him out twice and gettin home at around dawn. well i wake up early (round 2) and go look at the damage. so i see this plastic black piece on the bottom of the bumper hangin off except for where my gators plate was screwed into it. lower air valence maybe? ionno is this important, or should i just put it on the back burner for when i have spare cash(more important mods in line). OR does it look better without it? pics:
