Default Had my expirence with plasti-dip

Well i bit the bullet and finally went to depot to get some plasti-dip. Anyway, i started masking everything off to do my rear bumper trying to take my time to make everything perfect, but the tape kept coming off the plastic bumper pad. So i just said screw it. Got a peice of card board so no overspray would hit the paint then went to town. I didnt even care about the plastic. Did one coat. As you can tell I didn't try my hardest since the bumper is all dented anyway. You all don't need pics, looks just like a black bumper. But if it holds up, i will probably be doing my dads 7.3 ford bumpers.

In that case (masking tape not sticking) you can use black nasty (ducktape-guntape) to mask with, it is real sticky and if you slip with the sander your still ok, downside is you will need goof-off or WD to get the glue off if you leave it on there a while or if its hot out.

You might get that worthless w/o pics cartoon

do a few more coats on your bumper. I just plasti-dipped my whole entire go-kart frame and it's too thin for comfort, so I am gonna go buy like 8 more cans and do a few more coats on it.

I like it flat the only reason is if it was gloss, It will not match the gloss black of the truck. Thge only chrome on my truck now is the headlights and the grill.
