I thought about doing that with the hemi hat too cause my high breather cai uses the hemi hat, but after looking at it for a while I couldn't find a good/clean way to cut it open without ruining it so I modified an MIT tube and made it work instead. If you find a good way to open it up though let me know.

I think to do it right, it will have to be cut at the seam between the top and bottom.

I looked at that too for a while, I think I sat there and looked at it for an hour or so thiking of how to get it off. The thing I ran into with trying to cut it at that seam was when I hit the corners, with them being rounded I couldnt get my dremel to follow that curve to cut it cleanly. It almost looks like they took the top and bottom sections and heated up one of them and pressed them together.

That's exactly what they did. You need a better cutting disk that won't walk on you at the corner.

If you need an extra stock intake to practice on, I have my old one laying around. It is from an 04 so I don't know if it will fit but if it does you can have it.
