As some of you know, I sold my efan and today I removed my vararam. None of this was for performance or reliability reasons, and I expect to see/feel a performance decrease. I have some plans for the bumper that preclude the use of the VR anyways so it was a good time to remove it. Changed my plugs and cleaned my TB while I was at it.

i almost had a heart attack when i saw the thread title. Is that it? Just the vararam and efan? You wont lose much. You gonna replace it with the ol' hemi hat and clutch fan or what? I understand getting rid of those two specific things cause they're so expensive. but you should replace them with a normal e-fan and a homemade cai. you'll have about $150 into and about the same performance

AF- no more efan for me. Makes me feel like I have to keep the engine bay clean when I have cool stuff under there. lol. My intention is to cut the hemi hat open, run a 4" PVC pipe thru it, and then glue it back together. Stock look (ie: no cleaning compulsion) with some performance built in.

Bball- pm me a realistic offer.

my efan is completely hidden. i forget its in there cause its completel surrounded by the stock shroud. whats the point of running a pvc pipe through the hemi hat? The piping isnt the restrictive part -- its the hemi hat. besides, keeping the hemi hat on there means you have more black plastic to clean. there really isnt anything to clean by going make your own.

i've got some used piping from my latest bathroom demo if you want it.

The hemi hat is larger than the tb. The issue with the hemi hat is that the resonance chamber creates turbulence. I plan to dremel the hat in half and then cut out whatever is necessary to run a four inch pipe thru it.
