First time post.. Another ETC question
New to this board, looks great. Looks like I'll be spending a ton of time here in the next little bit.
But, I have an immediate problem to sort out first. I've seen a number of other posts regarding the ETC light, and that's what happened to me just an hour or two ago. Wife was out in my truck, and called and said it wouldn't start. (turned over fine, no start) So I go check all the fuses, relays, listen for the fuel pump etc....Everything checks out. A few minutes go by, and it starts. About a mile later, ETC light flashes, loses power and dies on its own.
Had it towed to my brothers, and when it gets there, he calls me up and says it starts and runs fine.
The other posts/threads on here say to check codes (will do in the morning) and that a thorough cleaning of the TB will solve the problem.
Long story short.. Does this sound right, or should I be ready to test/check something else? I've seen some threads saying check the battery and charging system. Some saying a few other things.
Sorry for the ridiculously long post, I just want to be fairly clear about what is going on.

AHHHHHH,,, never. Haha. I just bought it in late October, maybe the first part of November. It has a ton of miles on it, but up until today, zero problems, hiccups or anything that would point to a major issue.

Codes that I couldn't figure out are 2106 and 2108.
I read up on here as much as I could before heading to the shop to work on it, and what I gathered was that the TB needed a good cleaning. So I did, but once I drove it a few miles, it wouldnt start again for about 45 minutes. Finally got it home, and same thing, turns over but wont start. Waited a few hours and it fires right up.. So, I'm assuming it just needs a new one? I don't have a clue what else could make it act up like that.

So, I called the local stealerships(2), they don't stock the TB I need at either one and recommended I bring it in to have their tech "pinpoint" the problem by scanning it with their obd tool. Well, a friend of mine is a tech and already did that, plus the codes come through the truck itself already, so I'm wondering why I should give them $100 to tell me what I have already been told.
Does this sound like a TB issue to you guys or something else? I dont want to throw $200 at a new one to have it be something else, obviously.
