When I go to put my 07 ram 1500 into four wheel drive it sounds like it does but the light never goes to solid like it should. It does this for both high and low, I've tried putting it in neutral and shifting and also moving the truck and trying it again... nothing works help please

 

if its blinking its not going into gear.

 

What could be the causes of it not going into gear?

 

bad switch

 

probably not the switch, if it sounds like its trying to engage, but finally decides not to then its probably more like 4wd actuator or the vaacum or something... could be a few things... but its probably not engaging at the transfer case...
