Tie rod ends

Tie rod ends
So I have been tinkering around with my truck a little, and noticed one of my tie rod ends needing to be replaced. But i found it odd that on my '06 1500 QC 5.7L that the tie rod ends do not have any grease nipples.
I would rather not stick new tie rod ends on that do not have grease nipples, but also dont want junk ends.
Does anyone know of any good tie rod ends? Or is there much of a difference from the stock ends and any of the other ends that have grease nipples?
Also i think it is a pretty straight forward change, just count the turns when i take the old ones off, and go for a wheel allignment. Does that about sum it up?

check out www.rockauto.com . they sell moog, mevotech, and a few other brands of grease-able front end parts. many of them have lifetime warranties.

its funny how this came up just a few weeks ago the old man was giving me crap about not greasing my truck enough cause my lower ball joints were pooched yet nothing had grease nipples but the drive shaft. but anyways depending on the k and what you put your truck threw expect on doing those too.

I changed mine, I measured 4 times to the mm as best as I could. Never got an alignment and my truck runs perfectly straight. I can let go of the wheel doing 70 mph and it tracks perfect. I would pay someone to do that kind of work. The hardest part was getting the taper of the knuckle, which does NOT require force with a huge sledge hammer. I used a regular metal hammer and just tapped it quickly. The resonance of the metal pops it loose.

and kx250frider617 : just cause your truck drives straight doesnt mean its in alignment.. i would have a shop do it or your gunna ruin some tires
