Im goin down Monday to order my 33x12.50x17s. ( they were closed saturday). I was told that I would need to have spacers to run this large of a tire, is this true?

Lots of threads regarding this topic.
First off, that's a very wide tire for the stock 8" rim. Guys run it, but I wouldn't. Wider tires on narrower rims cause the tread center to buldge out and wear funny. Air pressure is gonna need to be regularly monitored.

Reason for spacers is because of the width. You'll need to push those wheels out slightly to clear the width. 1.25" spacers are the minimum needed in order for no lug trimming. If you go smaller spacer, you wwill need to trim your stock lug as they will stick out and hit the back of your wheel. 1.25" is just enough to prevent this but 1.25" will stick the tires out from your fender.

^^^^Hubcentric are the bestter one's, but you'll have a real hard time finding true hubcentric for the Rams. Hubcentic is a tight machined fit that uses the hub as a centering guide rather than the lugs only as isn standard spacers which is all i could ever really find for the Rams that was reasonably priced. I'd reccomend using loctite on the spacer threads and tighten up the wheel studs normal. use a torque stick for it all!! 105ft/lbs I believe???

for the price of spacers, im gonna put the money towards new wheels. what backspacing should I use for clearence?

And should I get an 8 or 9 inch wheel.

Does the center bore diameter matter?

How does this look for fitting my truck?

Do the 5 inch backspacing....That is what I have 17x9 and 295/70-17 Nittos....they stand about 33.5".....no issues. I am leveled like you also.
