yeah the only gasket that auto zone had was one that goes between the motor and the piece that bolts over the thermostat. so i bought it and some rtv, trimmed the torn piece off the factory gasket and used both. i put the factory gasket around the thermostat and then put a light coating of rtv on the other one before i assembled everything. seems to be holding up good. no leaks yet!!! lol

I have the Jet and yes it has the relief hole. I dunno if we have a DIY, but I know if you Google it, there are pics of exactly where you need to drill the hole yourself if you choose to.

I drilled a 1/16th hole about 2/3 of the way out the disk and then installed it with the hole towards the top.

I got a question then. I see the thermostat you have on the website but it doesn't say if it's specific to 5.7. Will that same one fit the 4.7 if anyone knows? I see jet has two different part numbers for the different motors which is why I was wondering if the mr. gasket will work on the 4.7.

i dont know bro. i will leave that question for someone who knows more than i do. but so far mine is working great. it sat running in the heat for like 20 minutes while my grandmother was in a store today and never even got close to the halfway mark! also i cleaned my throttle body yesterday afternoon. definite improvement in the throttle response. and its idling better to.
