This very thing happened to me today on my '05 quadcab Cummins. I noticed that the ingnition fuse was blown and the positive terminals on both batteries were pretty warm. Is this a normal thing when this condition occurs or could i have a problem in the ignition circuit that drained the batteries?

This happened to me this morning when I was about to leave for work. I had the radio on, key in ON position, ran back inside to grab something, and when I got back and turned the key, click click and the red flashing light/flashing dome lights. Left it on the charger for a little while this afternoon, but no dice. Put my spare battery in until I can get a new one tomorrow. I think it's the heat killing them off.

 

I have a 2006 dodgr stratus I just brought me a new truck and decided to keep my dodge stratus for my oldest son.....every now and than I crunk up my car to make sure it still runing....so yesterday afternoon...I decided to take it on the road to get some oil change to it....I put my key into the ignition and I started it up and crunk up for 2 seconds and dies I'm like wtf...I noticed a red flashing light was blinking after that I tried again and again it does the same thing....but the third time it didnt crunk up but all of my others lights came on radio came on no problem....what's going on here any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your concern. Have you checked for any open fuses? Also, have you used more than one key recently to start the car or the same key each time?
