Default 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, No Gauge Cluster lights and No Start, steering wont lock.

Key goes in to full start and back to run spot but lights in cluster etc do not come on.

All accecories like lights and a/c work.

The steering wheel does not lock in position at all when in Park.

I am thinking bad computer, but I can not do the key dance to check codes or anything.

Truck has also 2 times completely shutdown while driving at over 80km/h almost like an electrical glitch hit the truck and powered everything down. But it would start back right up and no codes were displayed on dash.

Help me out please, need truck ASAP.

* Thanks for helping out a new guy, living in Southern Ontario.

Hmm, I think it might just be the key column, they do go sometimes and would explain the lack of power to certain places. Also check the big connector that goes through the firewall by the emergency brake pedal on the floor. Mine wiggled loose and I had to pull it off put it back on and bolt it down again. Worth a shot.

So I figured the problem out, it was rotten wires on the C2 15 Pin connector that comes out of the Fuse box under the hood.
