Default A/C fan won't work on high, fine on other settings

Once again, my A/C fan won't work on high, but it works fine on all other settings. I had the same problem back in 08 and the a/c control panel was replaced under warranty. Of course now it acts up again just after the warranty ran out. It's intermittent, so it will work on and off.

Is there anything else I can check other than just replacing the control panel again? I'm going to check for leaks and try to find out why the same problem keeps happening.

Also, how does the a/c control panel come out of the dash on a standard 1500 QC??

Thanks!!

I would check the resistor card thats behind the glove box? It looks like a small plug that controls your fan speeds? does it do this with heat too?

Other than the control panel itself as you suggested, the only other thing I can think of is the blower fan resistor

blower fan resistor usually fails to "high", my money says it's the switch.

Yes, it's the same in all temp and vent settings.

How does the control panel come out? I need to get the right part number off it so I order the right one.

Thanks for the replies.

run it for a bit and then check the resistor, if its hot(abnormaly so) then that could be your issue, when a resistor is bad it will get hot to the touch, it has been known to make the controls go bad after a period of time due to the inconsistent voltage flow as well

And is that a pathfinder boat?

Part number for the basic controls (not dual zone) is 55056754AB. part number for the dual zone is 55056756AB.

Take the center bezel off, unplug the harnesses from behind it unscrew it.

Weed, does the center bezel just pop off? I don't want to break any clips or anything. Luckily, I haven't had to go in the dash on this truck....yet.

I was looking online and found the parts. Looks like the only difference is dual zone and with or w/o power mirrors. Hopefully gray is the only color...lol
