Default Problems of New Owner 2006 RAM 3500

I bought the truck in auction then I brought it in a dealer for inspection, it was diagnosed to replace with upper and lower ball joints and front axle U joint, there's a considerable play in driver side and very minimum on the right side.

I did the work myself last Sunday, I installed unfortunately the axle wheel bearing assembly was split apart when we removed it, one sticking to the steering knuckle while the other wheel hub nut was removed by a puller.

I installed the Upper (Moog 7460) and Lower (Moog 7467) Ball Joints. I FOUND out that the Upper Ball Joint there is a little play even it's new, IS THIS NORMAL? and I CAN ROTATE it in my hand easily, Even the other one, not installed yet, I CAN rotate it in my hand easily.

I am scared, sad , dismayed with my endeavor. With the hard work and time spent, I almost cry on this.

Also, I browse in the internet for axle bearing hub assembly and I found a BRAND : Replacement , IS THIS OK, I was given a a good deal supposed to be yesterday for less than $200 but I hesitate, not familiar with this name? Please advise, I can save $160 if I buy this , it's $360 here in Alberta, Canada

Please advise, I did not use this truck much since I bought coz Im scared, the dealer said it's too dangerous to drive. Now, I m stuck with repairs and parts problems,

Usually new ball joints have some resistance before installation however they vary by brand. The upper ball joint if it is new should be fine. It is not a load bearing surface. If you baught it new and are skeptic about it then take it back for a new one. The wheel hub you found cheaper will work fine . I have replaced hubs with unknown brand name parts and they were identical to the original part. They are required to be manufactured to meet or exceed OEM standards. $200 is reasonable price.

Thank You for your advice.

I wish to return it to rockauto.com but if this is normal then, I will keep it. I thought to ask a mechanic to see it.
