Default Trany Temp Guage Sending Unit Location???

I know there are a few threads on this already and I have read many of them and can't make up my mind.

Were am I going to get the most acurate reading.....

1.With a new pan and put the sender in the drain plug hole?
2.In Test Port number 3? (or other test port)
3.Inline - the line from the trany to the cooler?

I Think I know what guage and were i'm going to mount it just not sure were the best spot is for the electronic sending unit. Any inputs would be helpful thanks!

AeroForce Intercepter gauge, plugs into OBDII port and reads everything (well almost) including trans temp. Totally plug and play.
Good luck..

Naw, that's the engine temp. The trans ususally runs at 144 degree. The trans never goes over 160 with the the 2500 HD trans cooler.

Do you also have a link? I would rather have something like this if it's a plug and play and will read other things. What else will it ready by simply pluging it into the OBDII
