Default Oil Pan needed

Hello my good friends on the dodgeForm. My 2002 4.7L has a big problem. I am leaking oil due to the oil pan being warped and dunno how that has happened. I would like to buy a new one or perhaps a performance one. Now my Guys at the dodge dealer ship have told me that the oil pan on my truck is on national back order. I dunno when i would be able to get one. If anyone knows of a site or place that sells that oil pan or a performance one. I checked with summit and they got nothing for me and I have made calls and searched the web. I will continue to search, but if you have anything that could help just let me know. thanks i appreciate it. If you need any more info on the truck just ask. Thanks

Autozone sells the pan. Check with them.

P/N for a 2002 4.7 oil pan is 53020678AC and is $63 at http://www.wermopar.com/

You can also call the dealer and get a price

the only thing i can think of how it can warp is by hitting water puddles.. especially if you dont have that lower skid plate/ splash guard...
Hot metal+ cold water= warped steel....

My thing is I really Don't trust autozone and that is like a very last option. But if worst comes to worst I guess I would have no choice.

Sorry guys, no disrespect intended. But I don't buy this scenario. Is there any physical damage to the pan? If not, then I would drop the pan and clean it up and re-install it with new gaskets and sealer. Good luck...

i wasnt saying thats what happen... only stating that was the only thing i could think of.

He did say it was warped, so thats physical damage is it not?
only way i;ve found to seal a warped pan is by doubling up the gaskets and using 518 flange sealant from loctite--(really good stuff) and then you risk the chance of stripping threads with the pan bolts.

Brother, what I meant was that without physical damage I don't buy into the pan being warped beyond use. I don't know the 4.7 engine, but I've experience with other engines and pans with a good gasket and a little sealer will not leak. I would suspect the pan is not tightened properly or has been over tightened and has cut the gasket. I am sure with a little patience the pan can be made to seal. I wish the OP luck with his repair.

i guess im assuming his pan is actually warped.. sry bout that!

but to MONSTER -- if you do use some sealer like silcone, make sure u let it dry a good while before you start the engine up!
my buddy had someone reseal his 383 stroker pan and he didnt let it dry before he left the shop-- ended up pluging a couple oil gallerys and blowing the engine. Found silcone all through the engine. it was pretty nasty.
