Smile 2008 Ram 1500 Hemi, help improve my mpg's

Does anyone have a solution to improving gas mileage. So far I have installed a Diablo program, opened up the exhaust, installed a K&N filter, but mileage has stayed the same. Around 13-14 in town and 16 to 17 on the road.

Wrong truck for gas mileage! You might be able to save a few cents here and there but nothing you do will improve your gas mileage all that much imo. I have a superchips, K&N CAI, and a mangaflow catback exhaust and I am not even getting the mileage your getting. I would be happy to get 13-14 in town.

yep, very easy solution to the gas mileage of a heavy, wind catching, 345 HP V8. It's called the "trade in on a Prius mod"...

Seriously if you have a QC 4x4, that's about right. I get about 11.5 in town and can just eek out 16 on the highway and I have an e-fan and LT headers which should yield me a little bit better MPG numbers than without...

hahahaha@hammer i would say ride a bicycle....

yeah thats the downfall of a truck, imo mods are for performace not mpg. not many legit mods for mpg, ive been told good things about the bully dog triple gas tuner, two of my buddies have them and say they get much better mpg with them (I was gonna get it myself but they are weak when it comes to performace).

Before I had bought my truck I read a review that said "keep RPM's under 2200 and thats about the only solve for better mileage. The HEMI badge on the side is enough to let people know how much power you got."

@ 65mph I get about 22 on the highway with the MDS turned off. I get about 15.5 in town but I have a 2wd that was rated 13/19 on the window sticker. I also have a DSP, Magnaflow cat-back and K&N drop-in filter with a Airaid MIT pipe. I run the 91 octane tune with 93 octane fuel. I honestly think I got a little better mpg with the stock exhaust because the truck has a little more low end torque with the stock set-up over the awesome flowing Magnaflow.
