Its a sad sad day...
Get it to a shop, get it up on a lift and have it visually checked out to be sure before you meet with the insurance adjuster...
I swerved to miss a dog when I was 19 in my three week old 280Z (well this was in '86 and the car was a '78 but I had only bought it three weeks earlier). I was just coming around a blind curve and the dog was right in the middle of my lane, speed limit was 35 and I was doing 50'ish, overcorrected and ended up hitting a 4' diameter oak tree square! I came out with only stitches right above my knee, but the car was totaled.
Beautiful car too. Two seater, all leather, 5 spd, metallic blue and silver two tone, T-tops...
For those of you "chillins" too young to remember the 280Z, not mine as I no longer have pics of it (thanks to the ex-wife) but this is the car without the two tone paint and T-tops:

My uncle had one of those, a copper colored one. Cool car, then he traded it in a new 86 Monte SS (dumbass for trading it in the first place, even dumber for not trading it in for a Grand National).
Glad to here your OK and things panned out good during your spin and in the aftermath. Was in a small situation yesterday where my *** broke loose on the wet pavement trying to get out of the way of a squeeze put on me (damn bicycle on 4 lane blvd) during rush hour trying to get out of town and back on the HWY. Agree with Hammer and Red on throwing her up on the hoist prior to the Ins visit to do a 100% look and feel inspection.
It sucks but it was 100% my fault and Im not putting blame on anyone but myself for this. Sh*t happens and it was my turn the other morning to have it happen. From the accident I can remeber stopping it from hitting at least 3 other cars, and with no control and cars on both sides of you thats a feat all on its own. It could have been SO much worst than what it was. From this experience though I will say that it has/is going to change the way I was driving. Eventhough I wasn't rushing to go anywhere I think Im going to stop "playing" as much from now on anyways, it really made me look at a few things. Power is a nice thing and I will always be continuously trying to add more power and get it to go faster but I think using it as much as what I have been is going to slow way down. Its just not worth it anymore.
Anyways on to the damages. From what I can tell nothing under the truck feels loose or looks damaged or out of place. There is something leaking out of the bottom of the radiator, looks like trans fluid but thicker/stickier so I dont think it was caused from the accident. The front shocks feel like they are gone. The steering is loose, it use to have some resistance and now it doesn't. The steering also does not feel like it bounces back after turning as quickly as it did before. The truck also has a noticeable pull to the right when you let go of the wheel, its not a hard pull but it drifts over there. For body work the front bumper is scratched and might be about an 1/8" or less higher than the passenger side going from the space between the bumper shell and the headlights but other than that it looks fine.
Luckily though after talking to the insurance company, we have the best pollicy allstate has to offer, so my rates wont go up, I have a $150 deductable and can have a rental paid for for up to 30 days. So hopefully I can get them to possibly do some extra little things while the bumper is repainted (like the grille shell and whole bumper or new cover I might be getting real soon).

Its gonna push it into august, it will still be done though. But the $165 for the class to make the ticket go away and the $150 deductable to get it all fixed and the possible time it could take depending on what is wrong under the truck and paint is going to cut into the funds and time ( I was going to order the 268 friday). IT WILL GET DONE THOUGH!!!!
Jonnymagnum, long time no see, man! How you doin' bud?

...but in all seriousness...glad NO one got hurt....
