Idle Problem
After driving around for and hour or 2 and when I stop at a light the idle gets rough and seems to miss a bit. Someone told me it could be one of the o2 sensors or the cat convertor or a bad egr vavle any input would be great and it a 2005 dodge ram 1500 with about 65000 miles on it and it hase had 16 new plugs and airs cleaner and the TBI taken off and new o'ring put and cleaned and new pcv vavle plus oil changed.

Any codes being thrown? I had to replace my EGR just a few months ago for the exact same symptoms. Haven't had a problem since! Mine didn't throw a code until the very end but I ran it for a couple of months that way...to my understanding, if it was o2 sensor going bad, it should throw a code, sometimes the EGR problem won't throw a code until the damn thing has just finally $hit the bed. Others on this site have said that the EGR is good until 40-50K mile range when they had to replace, so your right around that mileage if it hasen't been replaced. There is a real good DIY on here for EGR replacement if you go that route. Real easy to do.

If it is the EGR, then yes, it is annoying! At stop lights, it sounds like your engine is going to die out...my wifey was saying the same thing, creating another annoying problem
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # EGV827 {Includes Gasket} is what I got, $45. That is for the HEMI. If yours is 4.7, then STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # EGV828 for $38. Both at RockAuto, but sure you kind find other places, if you like. Good luck!
