Default FLO-PRO muffler?

Anyone have one of these on their truck? They claim good flow without the extra noise, just what I'm looking for for boat hauling duty.

They use louvered pipes and chambers to move the exhaust through the muffler without using fiberglass packing. The one I'm looking at measures 4.75" tall, 10.75" wide, has a 22" case and is 28" overall, 3" inlet. dual 2.5" outlets. It's a big muffler but should help in the noise department.

I plan on having the dual tailpipes go out behind each rear tire. While at the muffler shop, should I have the stock Y-pipe replaced with a good one? Is it really worth it? Thanks.

Take a look at this Magnaflow. It's 30" long through and through design. I went from 6.3 to 5.9 seconds with only this change on my 0-60mph runs.

Good luck..

Not a bad price for a big SS muffler. How is the drone at highway speeds?

I have the pipes dropped just behind the roll pan. No drone... nice smooth performance sound.

I have a Flo Pro on my second gen. If you're looking to tow and not have any drone this is NOT the muffler for you. If you're looking for people to look around and see who's rolling around in a muscle car only to see you driving by then this IS the muffler you want.

Really? I would have thought it would be quieter then that. What size is your muffler? I don't really want to get one of their 9x12x30 monster mufflers, they are huge! But, it might be one way to go. Or I might go with a Magnaflow 12388 or 12588?

I'd recommend the Magnaflow. I'll measure the muffler when I get out to the shop again. I was expecting quite as well but I'm not upset with the results of that trucks sound now. It isn't very droney but it is signifigantly louder than my magnaflow and heades and the hemi
