how to get better gas mileage
I'm coming up with something a little different. He said 450 miles and 100 liters. 100 liters X .26417 = 26.4 gallons (I'm using US gallons, not Imperial gallons).
450 miles / 26.4 gal = 17.05 mpg.
450 miles / 26.4 gal = 17.05 mpg.
I get 14 mpg around town, and not by the overhead visor computor thing. Highway driving is a solid 16, and last road trip we managed 18 mpg. I agree, it's all in the way you drive. That, and keeping up with maintenance...plugs, air filter, tire psi..
kilometers not miles. I'm rarely wrong at math. everything else, sure I'm as dumb as a box a rocks, but not math. Just went back a couple posts your right ,miles. i could of sworn I saw 480 klh. tag, I'll shut up now.

That is a little below what I am getting. Which is odd cause I am getting 11-12 pulling a four horse trailer with three horses. But i am going to have to go with Nothin' but trucks cause obviously with the horses I accelerate slowly cause I don't want to have to clean up blood from injured horses when I get to the destination. And then when I don't have a load I drive kinda like a jack a$$ and get 13-14 but this is my first hemi and flomaster--so what-do-ya'-do?! haha
I always got better gas mileage when I had the bass boat with both my 5.9 2nd Gen and my Hemi. I attribute it to the fact that at under 2500 lbs the weight was a no factor for either engine to pull along with much more conservative driving with the boat in tow...
Based on the HP and MPG after the mods...it's cheaper.
The price of the mods maybe comparable, but for about $1500 in Diesel mods, You can get 20 MPG and tow at 15MPG.
Pick up any copy of Diesel Power Magazine, and read.
Diesel is the more efficient, cleaner burning fuel.
