Drive Line Fluids
Oh, another thing...A while back when I called the dealer to get prices on all this fluid, they mentioned 2 trans filters. But all the Auto stores around here only have a listing for 1. Is the other necessary to change? And is there anyplace other than the dealer to get it??
The book says change the flat filter every 30K and the spin-on every 60K (your interval may be longer, they changed it somewhere in there). I got my filter kit at Advance, along with nine quarts of Valvoline ATF+4 (it only needed seven). I used Mobil 1 75W-140 for the diff. The PML pan I used bumped the capacity to about four quarts, plus the LSD additive.
I believe the front diff gets 75W-90.

For what it's worth, I have read that Valvoline = Mopar Fluids at cheaper costs. I used Valvoline for trans and diff fluid swaps and don't have any complaints, in fact the gear oil has the LS additive in it so there is one less thing to buy. For the trans filters Mike is right. 30k on the flat pan pickup filter and 60k (some will say 90k) for the spin on filter.

That does make sense...When I go to the dealer they have posters and stuff from Valvoline and such...yet don't carry any Valvoline fluids...only Mopar and Royal Purple...but if Mopar fluids are really Valvoline, posters make sense.
I run RP in everything but the engine and I have Amsoil in there. I wanted to try it and I am very pleased with it and as soon as my driveline fluids are due again I will probably go with the Amsoil fluids again. as far as the tranny filters, any Parts store should have a "Filter Kit" with both filters. And as far as changing one at 30k and one at 60k, While you have the pan dropped you may as well do both.

Well maybe, but since the fluid needs changing every 30K, it's not a big deal to do an alternating 1, then 2 pattern.
