Comp springs or 6.1L springs??
Hey guys so I got all my parts now for my cam (comp 268)
I bought 6.1L springs and pushrods but also bought comps beehive springs. Any difference you guys know about?
I'd like to do it all properly without any issues but I wanna use the best quailty parts I can.
Any difference you guys know of that would make one better than the other?

Dunno, 6.1 work OK IMO, but If you bought both sets then use the expensive ones as you said might work the heads later. What are they rated for 6400/6500 like the 6.1's and did you splurge and get titanium retainers too?

You know it's a funny thing but of the five or six "performance shop" guys I know personally, every damn one of them talks about the 6.1s like they are junk. I was personally advised by a very well respected shop owner to buy the Manley's or at least the Comps and to "stay away from the 6.1s".
I've never heard of a Manley failing (and at the price, they better not!), but I've read a good many posts on various forums where guys have had the Comps go out on them. Never read of a 6.1 failing...

I trust you forum boys when it comes to this more than anyone. You all have real world experience.
I paid about 250 for the comp springs. It's about 160 for the 6.1's pushrods and titanium retainers.
The comps go back tomorrow for in store credit
