sound's like a steal. i would just listen in on any unusual rattling/knocking to make sure the engine isn't about to go, but other than that it sounds like a real nice deal. mobile 1 should have kept most sludge at bay

Could go both ways. Best bet is to have the vehicle inspected by, either someone you know who is mechanically inclined, or take it to a dodge dealership n have it thoroughly inspected. The mileage sounds bout right for that year model. In the end just make sure its what u want n that it has NO major mechanical defects.

If you're paying for the truck in cash then this next piece of advice won't matter to you. Banks won't lend based off of "excellent" condition. Only off of fair market value. Just my .02.

Had it checked out at my local Dodge dealer this morning. They could find no leaks what so ever, and the front end looks to have really been totally rebuilt with new springs, shocks, ball joints, and hub bearings. Tie rod ends were still in good shape. They did a compression check on the engine and it has just about as much as a new one! So after hearing all that I couldn't pass this deal up! So now I own a truck that looks and runs as good as a new one for just $4,000! Guess I will continue to run Mobil 1.

Sounds like you got a great deal, the same truck would list for roughly $8000 around here.

That is a good deal. If I might ask.....Why did the front springs need to be changed? That just struck me as something that doesn't normally need replacing. I'd like to see pics as well. Congrats on the purchase.

It is Patriot blue (dark metallic blue) with a taupe (tan) interior. The paint still shines like new and the interior is just as nice. Drove it to work today and drives like a dream! Will get pics posted as soon as I can!
