Default removing trailor hitch

Am I required to remove some of the bolts that attach the bed to the frame in order to slide my trailor hitch out?? That's the only way I see it possible, just looking for confirmation.

yes there are 6 bolts that hold the bed to the frame. The bed needs to lift about an inch or so to pull it out.

I have removed those two bolts (closest to the rear of the truck) but that hitch will not budge and I don't see any room for me to pull that thing out unless the bed comes up.

Yes, it's for a rollpan installation.

Dodge designed it so the bed would have to be lifted up. Pull the 4 bolts that go through the tow bar and frame. Then remove the 4 bed bolts closest to the rear, loosen the two by the cab. I had to lift my bed completely off the frame when i did my roll pan because the bed hit the cab before i had enough room to pull the tow bar out.

Here's some pictures when I removed mine.

You can lift the bed by removing only the rear four bolts and jacking it up.

Good luck....
