At the time i wanted to go higher and I using a older RC 6" kit + 3" PA BL and was restricted to 9" total
I ran into a guy on DF/DT who was selling a newer style RC 6" with cross member drops that would allow me to go higher to 12"
So the bagging project never materialized. I estimated my cost at around 2k in parts with me doing my own fabbing and welding work

If you go slow over bumps and things of the such you will be ok. You cant drive over them fast and chit.
Usually a lift spindle is not longer than the OEM spindle. Its just that the wheel hub location is lower which makes the tires lower. This has nothing to do with the clearance between the coil bucket and UCA.

The reason I am looking into them is because of the upper control arm issue. I have a 1.5" spacer with the stock isolator on top of it. I would rather have a new spindle without the spacer. I believe it would be the better way to lift a truck. It seems to keep the stock amount of travel (not limited by the UCA) and geometry, like Weed said it just lowers the hub. Also I have and probably will get it in the air again when I go to the dunes in Pismo. The first trip it was stock and it really impressed me how it performed for a 2x4. Although I blew the stock front shocks out then. Lol. I really want to go back now that I have fixed it up some.
