Also be patient if it doesn't work on the first try... I had to try 5 or 6 times before I got it at the right speed....

Alright I took huseman808's advice and did the On/Off three times and the code I got was this: P0406. So huseman808 help a brother out man! Hopefully it;s nothing serious and just a minor fix! Thanks guys!

P0406 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High...sounds like your EGR valve is going out. How many miles on the truck cuz the EGR craps out between 40-60K on average. $40 bucks and an easy fix, if this is the case. Just changed mine two months ago, but mine sounded like it wanted to die at stop signs/at idle. I ignored it for a couple of months until the CEL finally came on, but you aren't getting any other symptoms?

WOW Really? Yreah I have about 58,000 miles on it now...I am getting new exaust tips put on tomorrow...Getting duals put on it... So will that fix it or will I still need to get that fixed seperately?

nope swap out your EGR valve. www.rockauto.com has them for a good price.

Alright ill check it...Is this an easy fix to do yourself or would it be a better idea to get it done professionally?

yep. RockAuto is where I got mine. It is real easy to replace, I think there is a DIY on here, as well. Save yourself some $$ and do it yourself...it is easy. The other stuff you are getting done will not fix the problem. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, find a friend who can turn a wrench and buy him a couple of brews, cuz that is about as long as it will take to replace!
