Default weird wiring issue

Hey all,

During the stereo installation i left the battery hooked up simply put cause i was too lazy to unhook it and i was careful to not fry anything. anyway, since the doors were open for extended periods of time, the truck often went into sleep mode. Now that I have everything back together and everything plugged back in, it still acts like its in sleep mode all the time.

When the doors open, the dome lights dont come on, the headlights wont come on unless the key is in, the power door locks dont work, and keyless entry doesnt work either. This is just what i've noticed so far -- mostly because it was dark.

Any ideas?

were you messing around with the deck during that time by chance? I know in the newer vehicles the deck is tied in with many of the trucks features...
I'm putting in a double din kenwood, and I used an aftermarket interface to hook it up. Mainly cause then I can still use the tuned infinity system. BUT i know that this new deck when the truck is locked the deck actually goes into locked mode as well.

Just a thought, but if you were in there and did not use any interfaces or anything, you might have crossed something that you should not have? Pull the battery and disconnect the deck, leave it for a while, then plug the deck back in, and put the battery back in. If that does not reset things, then i have no idea. Unless you messed around with something somewhere else...

Yeah, I think the first thing I'd do is disconnect the battery for a while and hope for a system "reset"...

I'd check out your IOD fuse(ignition off draw) and see if it isn't popped for some reason??? Not sure what # it is on your year as 2006+ is #51 20A fuse iside the TIPM. HERE's a link to explain what it is if you are unaware. It's mainly for transportation and storage purposes.
If that isn't loose or popped, Id do as Hammer stated and it should reset itself.

Ive always disconnected the negative on the battery and then cranked the key like you were going to start the truck for three seconds. I guess it draws out any of the residule current that has been stored anywhere. Hooked the battery back up and all was fine
