You should get a master install kit w/ both sets of gears which will include everything they need (bearings, etc.) except the gear oil. For the bouncing I would get new shocks if you haven't already replaced the oem's and if that's not enough maybe look into this https://www.sulastic.com/Default.aspx.

If I do this should I change the bearings and seals while it's open?? truck has 68,000. I am contemplating an Auburn LSD as well since it is apart and is another weak link. Also, is there anything else that will make my truck better for this trip and ultimately better as a whole? I'm already planning on SC tuner only decision there is cortex or flashpaq?? I've read the thread on it and seems to be about 50/50 if I remember correctly...and I mostly sold on Flashpaq but it has been so long since I read that thread that I can't remember the reason.

So yeah, I've got gears and SC planned, maybe LSD..anything else? Someone mentioned airbags as an alternative when I mentioned 3/4 ton springs...what are some advantages of those over helper springs or just adding a leaf? I'm not real concerned with sagging as I have a weight distribution hitch that takes care of most of the sagging...I am looking at mostly ride comfort for a 4000 mile trip and something that may help with my empty bouncing issue that I mentioned in a thread about my tires and how the ride went to crap with Wranglers.

Looking for any and all ideas that will make my truck help make this trip as painless as possible...and improve the truck as a whole.

Thanks
good stuff, sounds like your plan is all coming together. yes, as chambers said, you should get a master install kit for both axles.

for for airbags or helper springs...... bags all the way. when unloaded, teh helpers will stiffen your ride A LOT. and your rear will bounce. it might even shake your kidneys loose!! haha jk.

the only other thing i could think of besides gears, LSD, and tuner for you is a set of oem tow mirrors. they look awesome, and are soooo functional its ridiculous. cant be too safe when towing, especially that long of a distance. and increased visibility is really nice.
