I say SC first, then cutout if you want one. the SC will net you more power than a cutout. for the plug change

i ordered them from Sears. they are the KD tools 3 piece spark plug sockets and they worked awesome. no need for swivels or magnetic retrieval tools or pieces of hose. they have a built in ball joint head that swivels and they are magnetic making removal and replacement a breeze. Oh, and take your wheels and fender liners out, it is much easier to access the plugs from the wheel wells rather than over the top.

SC will give you more power and better MPGs (assuming you can keep your foot out of it). The cutout just makes noise. It might add 1hp at best, but its really just for noise...noise that really doesnt sound good without headers IMO. It sounds more like a cheby than a real truck

Thanks NR - I'll pick these up this week as well. I've heard and read the best way is thru the fender... are you able to get the second plug thru the side as well ?

LOL @ AF_Hemi -- good "sound" advice - bad dum bump Thanks I'll be here all week!

No really I appreciate it -- I told my wife what I was doing and I got the " As long as it doesnt make it louder " talk

I am not sure on how easy the second plug is to get to on the 4.7 as I have a HEMI, but I would imagine that it should be easier, as the side of the block is exposed with the wheels off.

Sorry got the posts confused with another thread, yes you can access both plugs much easier from the wheel well.
