Default Tires/Rims Thoughts

So right now on my 03' QC I have 265/70/17 tires. I am thinking of making the tires a little "meaner" and would like to get some nice chrome rims for it.

Right now the height is just stock, but I am thinking about cranking up the torsion bar to get a couple more inches out of it.

What size tires would be the best to make it look a little tougher, yet not looked "stuffed" in?? To go along with that, what size rims would be the best? Just stick with 17 inch rims?

One last thought I had- Would having the larger tires effect anything with the truck (Speedometer, etc)

if you dont want it stuffed then go with 33x12.5's on a 17x9 rim. If you want a little bigger look into nitto terra grappler 305x70x17's. They are a good tread that are 34x12.5 tires. They do good in all conditions. And yes your speedo will be off. Usually 2in increase in tire size will equat to about 10 percent off in speedo reading. At least that's how it was before i fixed mine with my tuner.

Also if you crank the t-bars, or choose to put in aftermarket ones, make sure you get an alignment or your new tires will get chewed up pretty badly. and make sure that your shocks dont top out. You may need longer shocks for the front or shock relocation brackets.

I did a 2" level and I have 295/70 Nittos on 17x9 wheels. They measure about 33.4". Speedo is off by 3 mph....If mine says 60, then I am going 63.

So I would be able to crank up the T-Bar high enough to fit in the 295/70 tires??

2 1/4 inch would be enough I would think.. I just don't want to get them to high or something will end up breaking
