Default Off Road Lights Question

So I've got off road lights on my RAM, and I wanted to make the interior of them black. I'm talking about the part behind the glass where the bulb is. They are currently mirror-like, maybe chrome, so the light reflects, but I want to change it to black. Is there any kind of paint that I could put in there that would still allow the light to work? If I lost some of the brightness that would be alright. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I think you will lose more light than you'd think.
You could possibly heat them up to pry apart the lens from the backing if they are mended???
Do you have Hella's

They aren't hellas, theyre just some lights I picked up from AutoZone, made by blazer international. You can remove the glass piece with these two screws in the front, then there is the bulb you can remove and the mirror finish piece that I want to paint. I'd prefer to paint them, I just don't like the chrome look on my truck as I am in the process of "blacking" it out. I would put some hard covers on there but I don't believe they make covers for these lights. They make the KC covers but I doubt those would fit my lights cause they aren't KC's. Is there any real way to go black without losing say 30% of the brightness?

The part you are referring to as wanting to paint is the reflector. It's the reflector that actually "aims" the light in front of you for visibility.
Hella, for example claims to have 50,000 individual light reflection points inside the housing for near 100% coverage out in front of you.
It's the "reflection" that is what you see as usable light. Have you ever noticed that many lights have a small blocked out area directly in front of the bulb or uses a bulb that is frosted at the tip?
You actually get very little to no usable light directly off the bulb.

If the "blacked out" look is what you are seeking, then Hella makes a Black Magic model that actually turns the reflectors black when not in use...

So there is high gloss black paint (link below) , if I sprayed that over the reflector would I lose a majority of my light? If there is no real way to keep the lights I have on now and turn them black without losing a majority of the light, thats okay. I'll find some way to get over it..

Never tried it, don't know of anybody who has. My guess is that you'll lose MOST usable light.
If they are cheap lights and you wanna be a guinea pig, give it a shot.

If it don't work, then buy the Hella Black Magics. If it does, money-wise you'll be ahead of the game...

What about using the wheel coating spray. Atleast it has some reflectivity to it. I don't know about straight up black, but my local Advance Auto sells graphite and charcoal colors.
