Question T case trouble???? I dont know !

Hi guys, had that Dodge tech check my 06 Ram 1500 today. No real codes to speak of, however it did go into disinguage mode while he was checking it. He thinks it may be a T-case problem, said there is a snap ring in the rear that may be broken, however he is going to dig a little deeper, that is getting more info from a Dodge tranny buddy of his. I hate to repeat, but,,,,,it's a 06 Ram Larami, w/545FRE , while coasting, at highway speed, it will disinguage , like it's in neutral??? I can slow down and it's like it catches up with it's self, and sometimes it reinguages, other times, I pull over and switch it into 4 High, and it will reinguage, then put it back into 2-W and it will pull out,,, Also this occours while parked and trying to put it into Reverse,, nothing happens, then do the 4-High switch, then back to 2-W, and it moves and drives,, that is till I coast, then starts all over again. Anyone been through this before, or anyone have a guess? Thanks for any help at all, MM 2121

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Not a Mechanic here but could it be that snap ring that comes with the HD Transgo shift Kit that installs (trans out of the truck) into the bottum of the imput clutch assy that replaces the one that "Breaks" according to the instructions. Just a thought.
