Default some things words just can't describe. think i may have found my evap issue

so i've been having the leak issue with the evap system. changed the gas cap. didn't help. so was waiting till i found time to get the "smoke" test done to see were it was leaking or what was going on. was under the truck tonight fixing pos exhaust hanger from advanced. the leather piece broke. got that fixed and decided to look around and see if i could see cracked lines or anything and i saw this............ now i've rigged some things in my day but i honestly couldn't stop laughing when i saw this. it was in place when i noticed it, but i barely touched it and it popped loose. think i may have found the leak.

I can't imagine why that didn't work!!! That is freaking hilarious! If I were you I might think about giving your rig a good once over for any other "MacGyver" type fixes!

well kinda in a pinch and worried about it raining and me having to drive it home and chance what it getting wet would do. at work i got some liquid nail and duck tape to hold it in place while it dried. showed the picture to a guy at work and he said it looked like mighty putty. thinking jb weld is to technologically advanced for the retards i bought it from. if macgyver had fixed it, it would still be on there lmao. it's coming out the side of the evap canister i think that is towards the drive shaft. so i guess i will see in the morning, or here in a little bit if it held. if not jb weld it is, just takes so long for that stuff to set up.

I swapped a similar broken piece like that and am still battling the p0456. Funny thing is I had bypassed the Broken piece for about 2 months and never got the code (weird).

that's the next step if this doesn't work. it's hell finding that thing though. googled for 20 minutes last night. think i finally got it narrowed down to either vapor canister or charcoal canister. both came up with results. and not really that expensive of a piece. just at this point hoping the jb holds lol.
