Default egr

i have a 2004 1500 5.7 and check engine light has been coming on more and more frequent. i have a superchip programmer and the code is reading erg circulation high. anyone else having this problem

egr valves are pretty common on the hemi. i have seen them last longer than 100k but also less than 30k.

Go buy one at Autozone or someplace like it for $40 and replace it

when you replace the valve you should also replace the sensor, and your egr is part of your vac system so make sure you have it sealed correctly or you will have some idle issues

EGR valve is a disposable or "normal wear" emissions part. As was said, go get you a $40 one at an auto parts store or goto the dealer and get one for $70 and swap it out.

Then you're good to go for about another 40-50k miles till the light flashes for it again...

I had the same issue with mine. Ordered my EGR from Rockauto and had it in 2 days. Swapped it out in 10 mins, reset the PCM and away went the light. Easy fix and like the guys said you can do it for under $40 bucks.
