i would receommend ceramic coated. they are pricey but very worth it. (if they even make them for a ram)
and i would rather have shorty headers than long tube. thats just my opinion though

Long tube headers have more low-end grunt, but they're harder to install. I think there's a guide to doing long tube headers on here somewhere, and it's not a terrible install

biggest gains in HP and TQ are from LT headers. Then mids, then shorty's. the one thing to consider when shopping for headers is whether or not you can move your cats or ditch them entirely. In some states that require vehicle inspections moving them can cause you to fail inspections, and obviously removing them is a big no no in any inspection state.

coated headers do keep the under hood temps down compared to uncoated, and tend to hold up better, but keep in mind that all coatings are not created equal. from what I have seen most people agree that JET-HOT coating is about the best.

other considerations are price. you can go cheap with something like pacesetter uncoated LT's or BBK shorty's or expensive with a full heater/cat/Y/muffler system from TTI or Dynatech.

check out moe's they have quite a few options.

Ceramic LTs on mine. How hard to install IMO as I did mine by myself. But everyone is different.

LT's are the best choice, period.
