Default What lift to buy for 2007 Ram 2500HD

I am in the market for a 5-6" lift and am looking to spend no more that $1500 but want a kit that is of good quality and has a decent ride.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experience with one and could help me out.

Not a whole lot out there in the 5-6" range within your budget. The Pro Comp is about about that price with shocks, but I've read a lot of negatives on that kit as being "cheap".

Now if you come down to a 4" kit (which will clear 37's on a 2500 4x4), then there are some good kits out there for under $1000...

I have been looking on Top Gun Customz. They sell their own brand kit with progressive rate springs, which seem to be legit, but I have never read anything on this site about them. They all seem to be in my price range too. Here is one http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...view=250794635

What 4" kits would you consider for my SFA ?

Top Gunz has always had a pretty solid reputation. Don't know a whole lot about 3rd Gen SFA lifts. I did have a 2nd Gen SFA truck, but I did the level and body lift combo trick to get to the 5" it needed for 35s.

Rancho seems to have a strong following. I know one guy personally with that kit for the Power Wagon and he loves it. I believe he paid right at $1000 shipped plus shocks...

Nope, sent a good buddy of mine who works with the guy a text but ain't heard back yet. He's a fireman and the city where he works doesn't allow city employees to carry their cell phones when on duty. Might be workin' today, I'm sure he'll pop me tomorrow...

Yep, he said he bought at 4 Wheel Parts in Jacksonville, but he said he's since seen it at Performance Lifts online for a good bit cheaper than he paid...
