If i am reading that correctly, even tho the multifunction switch is faulty there is no recall.
Definatly something to look in too further tho. Thanks a ton for posting that.

Yeah, a safety issue, with no recall. Amazing they got away with that.

It looks like there should however be a warranty on the part however. The investigation however was only on Ram 3500's, which mine is. I assume its the same part however in the rest of the same-year-trucks.

My '02 1500 did that once, but then it never bothered again.

I just got off the phone with Chrysler Canada and they have confirmed coverage of this part to 240,000km. Chrysler USA is also extending their warranty (I accidently called the USA one first).

They will be re-imbursing my deductible. I encourage anyone having this issue to call and see if they can get theirs covered 100%.

ill be phoning on monday to see if i can get myself a new switch. I took the steering column apart yesterday and its looks easy to replace but i just dont want to fork out the money for a new switch if its faulty from factory

Default multifunction malfunction

I have an 06 Ram 1500. Same exact problem, when I try to turn high beams on, the windshield washer fluid comes on. I posted a complaint for a recall but we will see what happens.
