Noticed yesterday the drivers door was open and when I inserted the key into the ignition and turned the key to on (not start) the horn chirped and the hazard lights flashed. it would do this as long as the drivers door was open.

1. Is this normal?

2. How do I unprogram this feature?

It has also happened when I left the truck in gear with the park brake set the car alarm will activate. Is this normal?

It did it once but can you replicate the issue over and over? Do yuo have a over head display (OHD) with EVIC (garage opener, ect)

 

My truck does a constant half second or there about chime over and over as long as the key is in the on position and the drivers door is open. As well as if I leave my lights on and take the key out, it'll continuously chime.
