will a 2nd gen tonneau cover fit a 3rd gen

I can get an extang classic platinum soft tonneau cover that was on a 2001 ram 1500 short bed for cheap. Does anyone know if it will fit my 05?

Find a 01 on a car lot and measure the beds if they measure the same it will... My guess is that the 01 bed is square and yours tapers towards the back..
